Environmental Policy

Coldtech provides Fabric Services, Electrical Function and Energy Saving solutions for leading food retail, wholesale, distribution and industry throughout the UK to provide high quality food supply chain solutions, including Supply, Installation, Reactive Service, Maintenance, Re Manufacturing of Obsolete Parts, Energy Saving Projects & Environmental Safe Disposal of redundant equipment. 

 

Our policy applies to all of its sites and operations and all activities at customers’ sites and stores.

 

As a socially responsible company Coldtech is fully committed to its environmental management system strives to demonstrate continual improvement of its environmental performance and helping its customers manage theirs through its services.

All members of the team at Coldtech recognise that in their day-to-day activities they impact upon the environment in a number of ways including the use of refrigerants, the production of waste and emissions to air from transport. By impacting on the environment the management and staff recognise the obligation to protect the local and wider environment in which the company operates. This obligation is reflected in the following commitments:
  • To work closely with Coldtech’s customers at all levels in order to help them reduce their impact on the environment.
  • A commitment to comply with and where possible exceed all relevant and applicable legal requirements and other requirements to which the company subscribes.
  • To improve continually our environmental performance through setting and working towards objectives and targets in line with company policy; using measurement to achieve improvements.
  • Ensuring Coldtech service provision activities are carried out in such a way so as to prevent risk of pollution to the environment whilst undertaking planned maintenance and reactive services.
  • To provide a communication method for this policy to all Coldtech employees, persons working for or on behalf of the company, interested parties and members of the public.
  • Providing sufficient levels of training to allow employees and contractors to meet their environmental responsibilities.
  • To encourage everyone within the company to act in a way which will enhance rather than harm the environment.
